A Myth and Old Ruins The old ruins are silent now. Crumbling walls covered with ivy and cooling moss. Wild roses rambling in brilliant disarray. Columns of giallo antico marble now a weathered gray. Fountains dry. No soothing sound of water flowing over pebbled stones of beauty. Once, this quiet garden was the haven of the enchanting Queen of the Moon. She was the mistress to the flamboyant god of thunder and the god of streaking light. Their love all consuming running wild and carefree, but in this ancient garden, the sun would come and tempt the mighty god of thunder. The sun glowing enrapturing flowing with warmth and tenderness. In her queenly rage the Moon hides her glowing light. Blocking the sun in her heated fury. Causing the great marble coliseum to begin to crumble. The flowers begin to die for lack of light and rain. Lighting striking in wild abandonment and the thunderous roar from the god of thunder reverberating off crumbling walls. Then in this chaotic whirlwind of mayhem comes the sound of silence............ The old ruins are silent now. Love Bon-Bon |
