state of confusion

It’s the mark of winds to blow
rainy tempests in our paths.
Circulating this blue sphere,
gathering up speed and strength
no bulwark could hope to stay.

Within these shadowy days,
clouds make an oppressive mist -
foggy thoughts caught in time’s bend,
dark disciplines born again,
wild to cause the sun to stray.

With thunder herds overhead,
we’re swept into a black sea,
a surge of turbulent scenes -
loathed pasts, hints of horrors flashed,
blistered postcards in the fray.

Season’s storms do come to pass,
leaving behind our wreckage -
blood was spilt once, now again.
It’s the beacons we follow
that light us along the way.

Stormy weather, although challenging at times, can be exhilarating--and cathartic.

A lovely write, Dear Cor.

(big hugggsssssss) It is true that we will all encounter storms along lifes path, but He also promises that each storm will pass and will be interluded with breaks of sunshine and rainbow spells so many times to make our souls shine! (sigh) This is a most poignant read, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I loved it from it's head down to its' toes!
You provide quite vivid imagery.  My fave:
'With thunder herds overhead,
we’re swept into a black sea,
a surge of turbulent scenes -
loathed pasts, hints of horrors flashed,
blistered postcards in the fray."
Wow, I have a few blistered postcards in my album.  Wonderul - Peace, Joe

Aye, new lights we need, or to blow out some of the old ones at least -- better darkness than the light they give.
