Hitchin’ A Ride Spooky days are comin’. Window covered with webs of dusty gray. Scary sounds and flickering lights fill the night. Shadows playing the devilish game of hide and seek. Doors creaking and the wind moaning in ghoulish delight. Witches flying high and witches flying low, scratching and tickling that ole moon with their rickety ole brooms as they go zooming on by. Listen! Do you hear? Clank, ching, clunk. “Darn ole broom won’t start.” Sputter, bang, cough. “Guess I’ll have to hitch a ride and go to the North Pole. Maybe Santa will give me new Cadillac broom.” Bang, bang, chug, sputter, cough. “Come on broom, darn your ole hide, climb higher. Higher! Look out for those T r e e e e e s!” As the wind howls and darkness creeps into silent corners, you hear this high pitched cackling sound high atop the trees. “Oh dear! Oh my! I think I need a new broom.” Love Bon-Bon |
