A child asks about god |

My son showed me a picture of santa claus "Daddy is this god?" I laughed to myself but the question troubled me My head was buzzing why was he asking Did I know? Who was this god was he the one who at one time slaughterd uncountable heathens whose blood stained the rivers crimson or later was nailed to tree for those who betrayed him and later killed lied and fornicated all in his name or the twisted calvanistic dogma that damns millions before birth looking down at his innocent smile patted his head "yes son I'm sure it is" knowing one lie is the same as the other |
