crafty dishevelment lurches
round disenchanted glimmers of qualm
—with charismatic zeal,
serpents have donned altruistic caps
to meticulously debauch your every fissure

allow us to hypnotize you, they smile
no, you cannot trust yourself, they suggest—
as every mountain seems to have grown weary,
begrudgingly pointing to deep-sea quietude

—safe from this malfeasance and utter desecration;
this insidious cloak of villainous predatoriness
