GLORIOUS BEAUTY Up early one day, Dew still on the gound This beautiful bud Was waking. I watched that day As the bud gently opened With wonder and aw At the beauty unfolding. The next morning That bud was a rose Not quite fully opened But as the sun rose And warmed the ground That rose opened To glorious beauty. The next few days That rose held strong Proud on the stem It came to full blossom Under the sun. But as days went by The rose started to wilt, Petals began to fall, The glory gone. As I watched the life Of that bud I was reminded of myself And my life. Each day that passes and the years slip by, My petals continue to fall. Maybe one day A new bud will shine In the morning dew And renew my hope For that glorious Beauty called life. |

Beautiful. I loved the truthfulness of this poem. Cold hands means a warm heart |
