Wordless Vacation

My words have taken a vacation today.
No blending in symphonic harmony.
No loving song do I hear.
No sweet words to caress my soul.
No words of love do I hear.
The colors are different shades
of
chilling black and sad filled gray.
No soft chiffon's and cooling silk’s
only
rough wool's and colorless burlaps.
No brilliant colors
of
enthralling saffron and eye catching chartreuse.
No bright words of sunshine and melodic carousels.
No rose or gardenia to grace my sight.
No fragrances to fill my nostrils
with earthy delights.
Maybe if I travel to the sea,
I will regain my lost words
that have taken a vacation
and
in there haste to leave,
they have forgotten to invite me.
I sit here and listen to her soothing sound
and
turn my face into the wind
to capture her cooling spray
of
healing mists and colorful rainbows.
My spirit is drifting
Drinking in the serenity,
the tranquility as the words
begin to flow into my relaxed state of mind.
My words have returned, no longer on vacation.
No longer hidden in the darkened corners
of
my questioning mind.

The sea is full of wonder, and if I had it my way, there is no place I would rather be. I understand the feelings you write of, it's not always easy to find the words.
