+*+*+ In the valley of deep despair, Streaming tears flow out to sea. A lone dove sings in mourning, In weeping willow tree. Lost souls roam scorched flatlands, Of grays and blacks and browns. There are no kindred spirits, Just empty, dreary towns. Dry winds blow prickly sagebrush, Across the barren land. Dust storms fill the valley, With mounds of gritty sand. The air is thick and putrid, And filled with choking dust. Breathing is laborious, In decaying realm of rust. The skies are dark and brooding, The sun lights not the day. The stars at night are cloaked in black, No sight of Milky Way. In the valley of deep despair, Streaming tears flow out to sea. Linda, you explain the valley like someone who has explored a good deal of it. I hope you have had your share of joy, too. But maybe (since you ARE an angel!) you are called to help poor hurting souls who are lost in the valley. If that is the case, keep up the good work!
