Raintree Me You come into spring first of green a gift you were, Johnny’s dream branches spread in sheer delight in June you become golden bright Legend holds that those who may find Golden Raintrees shall grasp in kind all their magical dreams come true so sit with me, enjoy the view Inviting birds, bees, butterflies a harbor of health, wealth and wise soon golden rains shall come forth and hearts of paper lanterns bring northern Winds to come, blow all away your work is done, you shall not stay but spring is promise, soon reborn for legends hold, and you are sworn To bring luck, good fortune, all one’s dreams as secrets are held in your golden beams for in the raintree’s heart of gold hearts is where happiness shall always start ~*~ 29 August 01 revised 8 August 02 Photograph by KRJ *Note:Enchantress had never heard of raintrees, and I think she thought they were a figment of my imagination...I just wanted her to see what I get to see, every day... |

Magically beautiful... I'd love to write a song or a poem or at least strum the guitar underneath one someday. -MVS You CAN make a difference: |

This tree is beautiful. I have never heard of a Raintree? I live deep in the South. Maybe you are in another region. Never have seen or heard of this tree. Lovely, and I enjoyed the words as well. SharaRose @-->-- Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer! |

It's a beautiful thing, this tree....I wish I had one of my own, but I do admire them wherever they grow. I'm removing a troublesome palm tree from my yard, maybe I'll get one of these, so I won't have to covet my neighbor's. ...and this poem does justice to the living wood! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
