What is going on inside
Every time that you’re around
I feel so nervous, I cannot speak
Not a single word is found
I lose myself so quickly now
In those eyes so loving and true
I don’t know what I feel inside
Am I falling in love with you?

But how can this be possible
These feelings I can’t control
They are not in my destiny
Not of the guardian shadow
When I see your smile so sweet
Not a moment I want to miss
And when I hold you in my arms
I long for your gentle kiss

I’ve only felt those lips just once
During a moment of drunken bliss
You asked for it and I delivered
A short, yet tender kiss
I would not make that moment last
For I was terrified to lose
This loving woman, my caring friend
My inspiration, my muse

So every moment passing by
While I stand so close to you
Your presence is felt so deep inside
I don’t know what to do
I dare not ruin what we have
This friendship I adore
But what if it were possible
To make it something more

But would you want to make it more
Or am I only just a friend
Would my advances in the name of love
Bring our friendship to an end
So I stand before you now
For all the world to see
With longing eyes, I ask the question
“Could you ever love me?”

how better for a romance to begin, but for friends....go with it asking nothing...with no expectations...let it compliment you and change you...and dream dream dream

I am truly speechless. This was so wonderfully written - and these feelings are those that I've also felt. I'm in love with the one person who compliments me. We were friends long before we started dating and it only made our bond stronger. I've got my very best friend and soulmate right beside me everyday. Go with your feeling - you never know what could come of it. *smiles*
