I wake up and keep my eyes closed I don’t want to have to open them to a new day I don’t want to have to see that there is no sun shining Only rain and mist Theres a shower of gloom pouring down on me and it seems to follow me daily I cant get out of this sadness Cant block it out at all Feels like I am trapped by four walls I cant run away from what my life has become And I cant act like someone new Emotions explore me And explode momentarily Im riding a roller coaster built for one I wish I could find a way to cover up my shame Pull a curtain over my guilt But there is no way So I have to keep my eyes closed And live through the day |
