What I Did Today

Do you know what I did today?
I went out and captured a ray of sunshine
and
put it in a jar for a rainy day.
Do you know what I did last night?
I captured a lightening-bug
He will light your path on a stormy summer night.
In my jar of glass I now have a
sparkling moonbeam
That will guide you on your difficult path of life.
A ray of sunshine to put a glow within your eyes.
A lightening-bug to make you smile in the darkness
of night.
A sparkling moonbeam
that
will shower you with strength and love.
Do you know what I did today?
I went out and captured you a blessing from God
and
now I give this gift to you.
The gift of faith
and
the gift of everlasting love.
