In radiant dance,
her spinning of a rainbow
down to buckets of gold
doesn’t surprise me

I swear, she talks
to leaves
just to hear them giggle
in childlike wonder

as flowers unfurl
just to see if she is following
their evolution

she is eagerness of small fingers
in stare of them to curl
around her own

she is a bear hug in hold
of silvery filaments and other affairs

a motion of poet is in her step
and her smile

she is the cradle at the foot of the mountain,
a hammock of life
that swings song into mystery

one cascades deep into dark eyes
hearing her mouth the sound of
friend

and knowing it is you
she speaks to…

but for all of this
and more
I cherish her, because I know
she values me

she is poet, she is friend
she is Martie in ever-bend…

Thanks, everyone...this one evolved on its own while I was thinking on how Martie writes...and believe me, she's sort of like Bob Hope - one of a kind and never imitated!

A beautiful poem for a beautiful lady....you captured an angel here, showed her as she is, and that is poetry enough.
