The summer sun falls quick behind westward mountains, A full moon rises slowly shimmering on the East’s lake Warm winds push the clouds back and night sky rushes in Star shining plays peek a boo between the clouds as they break Without the sun the air cools and mist seeps down mountains The mist carries the lotus scenting soft with thoughts of you A nightingale begins song hoping for a mate to come The mist deep now hides the sky and fills the bamboo with dew That slides gently down green dripping down like a soft drum I’d play my flute in duet but the nightingale flew Cooler winds bring clouds back filling the summer air The thunder drum echoes and far off there’s sky flair The winds picks up the fog and light rain begins to fall Gone is scent song and sky the storm swallowed them all. I read this twice because the words had such a sweet, sad, feeling as they seeped into my mind...I loved it Gloomy one! Susan |

Thank you, minoune, Pleased you liked it and visually enjoyed, We’re getting by with a bit of sun in the afternoon But much gray skies. Thank you, LeeJ, This is actually not my true vision, But a mixture of mine and Wang Wie’s poem about summer by a lake in China; Having little emotion myself I often use Chinese poetry for inspiration Glad you enjoyed Thank you, Susan Your pleasure taken from my words returns pleasure in pleasing to me (I always wrap my head in plastic wrap, it stops the seepage) Gloom |
