Why do these feelings fill my aching heart?
When will my tears end?
Why did they start?

Why do these tears come falling down my face?
Out of anger? Sadness?
Are my feelings misplaced?

Why do I hurt so much inside?
I can't run from these tears,
Nor can I hide.

Why do I love? Why do I hate?
They both end in tears.
Is this by chance or by fate?

Is anyone listening?
Or is it just that no one cares?
I feel like I'm shedding,
Only silent tears.

very nicely done.. and your pain is felt here.. just remember that with time, you'll heal, i know its hard to see now, but it will.  Time heals all wounds, if you let it.. but you have to let go... Remember, *if you love something, set it free, if it comes back, its yours, if it doesn't.. it never was*...  Just find smiles dear one..

I can totally relate, this was an awesome poem, just keep writing it's always a door to your soul, sometimes when we find out who we really are and step out on our own, it at least helps, that's what I'm doing anyway. take care don't forget someone here listens.

I'm usually drawn more to freeverse than to a set rhyme scheme, but I loved this poem- the rhyming really added to it.

Out of curiosity, how did you pick your screen name? Tequila Sunrise is an incense I have and love...hehe, just wondering

"Is anyone listening?

~ How could anyone who "hears" this poem be able to not listen to your plaintiff cry. Your words reach right out and grab the reader in the solar plexus--and their heart.

Very moving write.

I have known tears like these - my heart goes out to you!
