I saw you for the first time while traveling somewhere between box scores and day dreams High above and looking down on the unaware, like uninvited gods to snippets of time captured and released as quickly as breathing in, breathing out A mish-mash-montage of humanity disconnected from an endless current of high-dwelling passerby's Till our eyes met and for an instant we discovered more than benign circumstance I saw in you weariness and a last clinging hope Within me, I felt you unravel something unrequited From the gravity of your weary eyes I can bear it no more and so, I look away |
