Optimism vs. Cynicism Eager fools, we pick the rose careless hands tight hoping we won't bleed as thorns sink skin pierced. The choice lies in the wield that wraps the bandage and smells the blush vine with eyes closed nourishing this fragile beauty to grow life in the garden again; To one who, with open eyes squeezes the wound red to drip the pluck of petals painfully one by one shallow on their grave. Must I choose one? I pick neither. Good poem Mel, good thoughts. I know my reply is kind of bland, but I've gotten used to good poetry from you insanity is not a crime |

(sigh) Perhaps the true answer is the rose is a deceiver and there are certainly far more beautiful, trusting flowers elsewhere in the garden, perhaps the hydrangeas with their various honest complexions or the iris with its sanctity! (big hugggssssssss) Though I love all flowers, the rose has never necessarily been one of my favorites simply because its hard to handle, God Bless You, this is a very thoughtful piece, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Melissa, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton Underneath your clothes, there's an endless story |

I still find it amazing when I think back to some of the first posts of yours I read and then come to those of now. They were good then but now they hold an enhancment of growth that you should be proud of. I know, this could sort of tumble the arm of cynicism if you were to lean towards the optimism in it but I have no doubt that you will travel no mind path that you do not feel like traveling. Wonderful write. |
