Dashed I suppose your whispers were merely echoes of that which you deemed I’d wish to hear. The season of them was no more than Mrs. Dash on green tomatoes. Your promises had the strength of tungsten wire stretched across the gateway. I suppose I was merely naive within my hope of surety, but then haven’t I always based my hope on dreams. Isn’t that why you stay those intermittent intervals? ©August 9, 2003 (not my fate, merely considering what happens to many) Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
