Classic poems are Preserved cadavers, Dead until read They lie in state, In closed tomes. * God like, I resurrect; Gray matter Of my mind, Breathing life back into them; Finger tips turning the rock from the cave. |

ice Some times the weight of words is a big responsibility....holding the poet accountable for poetry. I enjoyed this and the thoughts it brought to me...thank you. |

Margherita Thank you..:-) Perhaps if the classics were shown and discussed in grade schools, we would have more people in our society that would see the real beauty in them as adults. ********************** Martie I am glad you enjoyed the poem..:-) It is the "weight" of words that make a poem great....In the classic poems you can find feathers or lead....whatever you can carry the day you open the anthology is there... ************************ Snowflake Thank you, I bow to your applause.... Good quote from the song.... ************************* Littlewing I may have posted this in the wrong forum, I have several poems on #27 but I think it was full when I posted this? Thank you for the nice comment...:-) ************************** Marge Thank you for reading and commenting.:-) I like the quote, it is true.... *************************** Kahlil Thank you..:-) That line gave me the most problem in this write....Glad you like it.....:-) ****************************** Again, Thank you all for your comments..........ice |
