Classic poems are
Preserved cadavers,
Dead until read
They lie in state,
In closed tomes.
*
God like, I resurrect;
Gray matter
Of my mind,
Breathing life back into them;
Finger tips turning the rock from the cave.

Exceptional write! Those classicals wait for people like you, to breathe again and to share their beauty.

Some times the weight of words is a big responsibility....holding the poet accountable for poetry.  I enjoyed this and the thoughts it brought to me...thank you.

Thank you..:-)  Perhaps if the classics were shown and discussed in grade schools, we would have more people in our society that would see the real beauty in them as adults.

I am glad you enjoyed the poem..:-)
It is the "weight" of words that make a poem great....In the classic poems you can find feathers or lead....whatever you can carry the day you open the anthology is there...

Snowflake
Thank you, I bow to your applause....
Good quote from the song....

I love it.

Reading it again makes it sound even more
vibrant then the first time.
