I hear the tempo
of your upbeat music,
the swing and sway of skirts,
as you tickle the ivories
and illicit such incredible
beauty, such exquisite melodies.

My feet tapping out the rhythm
of many drums, the passion
of a thousand violins. And, you sing.
Unaware of the miracle unfolding
within my heart...that moment
when the music becomes the pure magic
of the night stars and the moonbeams
dancing upon the wavering heartbeat
of a sultry and seductive Moon.

I am "The Lady In Red,"
as your words conjure up
images of a red dress, a red sway.
My partner and I step up to the vision
of past dancers...a Fred Astaire
and Ginger Rogers of the past
dancing across the ceiling,
over the floor of a grand ballroom.

We can be anything. We can sing
like Bette Midler or Frank Sinatra
in this moonlit moment of two.
You keep on singing and playing
the piano...still unaware of the magic
that your voice and your hands are making
in this night of rhythmic seduction.

Ah...  the power of music.  Life would truly suck without it.

(smiles) Oh Ivy, this is gorgeous, sweet friend, and you truly have the charisma and grace of Bette Midler here, and may your Frank Sinatra always be there to sing back-up! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ivy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Music for my heart and soul. Simply beautiful. I am so pleased that Ethel resurrected it and brought it out into the light again so that it can be appreciated!
