A Cist

I mist the sly of rhyming rhyme
To cist the fungi, changing time.
And in the spirit of the ghost
I raise my glass and give you toast.

May each feral have its moment
Yet smell the fragrance of a rose
And with each sniff, cry lament
And feel the thorn to pierce its nose.

I cannot change the human clan
Nor can I change the span of man
It has been tried with stone and bone
And both were left in dust and flown

I can but say, if asked to say
I would that man another way
I’ve seen the beauty of the garden
And cannot see a worldly pardon

I’d give my life if I were able
What once was gifted in a stable

How tender the thoughts, Sy...
when we reduce it all
to what is most real,
and truly all
important...

we easily become
quite humble.

Bless you.

Good morning...

Good morning, my dear T-Man!

Who would have thought a poem entitled "cist" could be so lovely...

Your wife, Isabel, has been whipping up quite a storm I see! For our sakes, please appease her!

I wish you well when she returns to your bed! lol
