where the wild flowers grow

Release my flesh, oh demon,
steal not my mind ..
I've been a beast, bewildered by fire,
a sea serpent bound in water chains.

To give up, I wouldn't be a goddess,
nor have this fire breather to warm me.
A tragic cliche, a love story.. Without chaos,
we'd have no fear..no pain, or sadness.

Losing all we've written about in pricking
prose, and violins compiled of razorblades..
We'd suffer not with hands of poet..
A desire, becoming obsession..
Without this, we would not spread wing
and fly towards the sky.. with slivers of bark,
ink made to quill..

We are the gods, the writer's of life,
the fire needed to spark
a prison of words, an implosion of expressions.

We've had nothing
but an ignorant world..one that has never
believed in the words..

not any heartbreak to voice your screams into,
like shooting lightning 'cross the sky.
Leaving the well penniless and dry.
As our souls intertwined into the eye of maddness,
we give up..and surrender..
to this demon,
this pen.. I held once..

But I..
I have been ..
The wind
that blows
the wind.

Holy....

I had to read it twice. First time I got so into it I was reading way too fast!! I am...amazed and envious...You are definitly a poet goddess!!!!!

The line that struck me most was "violins compiled of razor blades"...Brilliant. Just...brilliant.

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

You are a poetress without fear...without inobition, confidence and care are your rite of passages...

Lovely poem, amazing words...you are a godess in your own personage...a muse of hope, desire, and dreams, through loss, gleams a shower of wisdom....lovely write

So very true. And each of us can be this or have been, for good or ill.
