What rings in the vastness beyond? Church bells strike the hour Chimes at dusk, such vivid power To chill the summer subtle frost Transported to the green grass knoll Quiet places fill and overflow my soul Beside the trickle of running streams Where I sow my heart back at the seems Wept to rocks, wept to rocks My haven, as the moon climbs blue Another turn away discerned to fickle through That draws my seas to surface cheek In flush escaped this twilight meek Could I be others buried consecrated ground? Your fingers seem to scatter me in little drifts Second chances rendered deeper Than the dust there lifts Rain to blooms, rain to blooms Copyright Kkh 8/6/03 [This message has been edited by ThisDiamond (08-06-2003 01:42 PM).] |

Your fingers seem to scatter me in little drifts Second chances rendered deeper Than the dust there lifts Rain to blooms, rain to blooms ============================== Well this is just stunning... the imagery and personification is poetry in motion. Was a treat to read aloud. Excellent write poetess TD "How could I stand here with you and not be moved by you." |

"wept to rocks, wept to rocks" The rhythm of this is mesmerizing, and illustrates the tranquility.... and then, "rain to blooms, rain to blooms" delicate and oh-I-love the form of this'n. |

Kathleen, perhaps it was the word "knoll" that drove me back to read this several times. I had a revelation, it seems, of time, traveling, a there and then, here and now pull...of remembering, and a thinking of "yes, I have not forgotten..." perhaps not what you intended, but indeed, what I gathered up... |

ThisDiamond~ I took the same word-travel that Karilea did ... marking time remembered~ A lovely write of layering thoughts~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
