Goddess of the Glaciers

How dare you breech the sanctity
of my isolation,
challenge the sacred confines
of accepted lonliness
and leave me vulnerable to the
pain of possibility,
Goddess of the Glaciers.

Live like it's your last day...
Dance like nobody's watching...
Love like you've never been hurt...

I've thought this same exact thing many times

and created many avalanches when people got too close

Ray, I like your poem. I also like your
signature lines. That's the way we should all be.

Knowing that you are from Alaska, makes the image of the Goddess of the Glaciers even more powerful!--contrasting with the sense of lonliness and isolation. I too, need my space and down times occasionally.

I really enjoyed this piece!

Thanks Vicky...it's actually the verse of a predominatly instumental tune I'm trying to do but gotta admit it does reflect recent events in my life...                         Thank you Ethel...the signature comes from an old scottish poem I bastardized.
Many thanks to you Angel on the shores of forevermore...this is definatly a place of extreems...
And of course you Kacy...Yeah you'd think as slow as those big icecubes move one would learn to stay out of the way but some of us are just slow learners and fast forgetters...and dang no email yet but I'll drop you a line soon through the site here, theres also a link to mine from my web page.
