Soothe me oh Sol,
That I might not be found frozen
From nights closed eyed journey
And frigid hand that gripped my heart
To leave me feeling so much less
Than I am.

She paraded across the dim lit stage
Her gown laced with sequin stars
That promised false tender
Instead leaving this chill
To make fragile my soul.

Grace me warm one
With a smile that touches my throat
Bared as it is for winter blade
Or caress
By your fingers, comforting,
In follow of hollow places
Needing mend

Will you rise with me
Or is after all, this,
The leave of turning fall?

I rarely comment on your poems, because I'm always left wondering what I could possibly say.  They say it all on their own.

Thank you for the read.

You paint nearly always with a hint of charcoal, friend, a touch of gray into the picture of fall's colors. A cloud across the sun.

In reply - what would a painting be without contrast?

Your thoughts are following me again.  I was attempting to put this very thing to word earlier tonight.
Thanks for reminding me why I'm here bud.
