I wonder, just when
Did this one life begin

When a one in a million
Unseeing swimmer
Bumped into and boarded
That one lonely ovum

Or, could it have been
When I emerged squawking
From the aegis of heaven
To that of my mother

Or perhaps, in a mirror
When I first saw, I saw
What was in there
Was me

Then, again,
Was it when
I learned, I could learn
To start over again

Indeed..a question most of us have pondered over our years here on earth.
So many answers to this question..
Depends I guess on the individual and their belief..
Well done poet sir.

We are reborn again and again, and always have another chance - grace abounds. Always nice to 'pick a day' and start all over. I like your style.

For me, the last... *S* I'm just hoping this one can continue... some things are meant to be left behind... others take a toll. *S*

Some deep thoughts, my friend!

Is it ever too late? I wonder.

I am in awe
Not of life, itself
but the wondrous ability
of the heart

It is but an organ
pumping life to limb
creating breath
sharing itself so freely
never asking for anything

It is this creation
bled from above and beyond
woven tapestry
of many lives lived
knotted into one
regenerating itself
at the exact time and space
so rarely witnessed
welcoming
new breath and blood

Thanks everyone, for the kind replies and for taking the time. It's appreciated!

And Susie?
This,

"It is this creation
bled from above and beyond
woven tapestry
of many lives lived
knotted into one
regenerating itself
at the exact time and space
so rarely witnessed
welcoming
new breath and blood"

Is perhaps what I meant to say.

Thank you Sweety
