Trapped inside me is a little girl in a womans body, Wondering when she can come out and play, Begging me to let her do cartwheels and somersaults, She is restless and doesn't understand why she has been shut inside for so long, The innocent one that was shoved behind the resposiblilties of life, She yearns for the moment she can hope, dream and make all of her desires reality, She doesn't know she will never come out again, She doesn't know how hard it is for me to feel her scratching and digging at the walls of her prison, And she doesn't know that I miss her deeply, This is the result of a child growing up too soon, No one will ever see her again, She is gone, She Disapeared, Lost in the haze of life. I so feel your pain and longing here.I can tell you I've been there and that girl will surface again.Set her free and let her live again. You'll live and love life more. ![]() ![]() Crystal |

She isn't gone; she is speaking in this poem. Don't try to drag her out of the deep shadows of your soul. Let her come out on her own terms, in her own time, and please tell her thank you for sharing this with us. |
