I’m on my own,

Again,

This time the pain is less.

My scars form a blanket,

Timely remainders of my so called “life”.

You know I question whether I’ve truly lived a single day or night.

Nothing left to barter with,

Nothing but a black void of emptiness,

Lets face it, only the dead seek that.

I’m tired of being tired.

What is this?

A memoir of a soon departed?

A cry from a saddened soul?

No.

A moment of true clarity comes to us all.

A deafening explosion which shakes our very existence to its core.

For as humans this is our only life.

Why abuse it.

Cherish it and live the life of the free willed.
