I crawl inside the warmth of your words I take them within my skin I make them a part of who I am Like an attentive lover You whisper of my needs You tell the story of my deeds You touch my face with spew of tongue And instinctively know Love not given the chance to grow You follow my body to bed Voice of caress as I close my eyes I feel the notes of your soul, nothing belies Softly sing the words of sooth Put my aching heart to sleep With song of silent weep |
