I dream of you often
Poppy dear
and you never change
where you lie
is planted poppy
she blooms
tall
like sail of your tail
gently afloat
in our garden,

Dreaming of you often
Poppy dear
I know
what you may be trying
to tell me
as I sleep and he purrs
he misses you
like I miss you
like I'll miss him
when he's gone.

Instant karma's gonna get you.

Thankyou

Poppy was my cat of 10 years. Half of one of the best birthday presents I ever had. She was naughty, but nice. Growing up together, she was more the irritable teenager than i was..always biting like a madwoman, angry as hell..then purring.

Instant karma's gonna get you.

Gemma, it is so hard to lose a pet. They become such a part of our lives even if they are naughty and grumpy.

Our dog, Bernadette is an unbelievable grump, but we love her dearly.

I enjoyed this, as I do all your pieces.
Hugs, Marti

There is a lot of love in pet poems.
I recently lost a little rascal cat who was about the same age.  He was much loved and is missed daily by his brother and by me.

Thanks for sharing this.
