Our love
a waterfall
falling faster, stronger
in shimmering rainbows; but oh,
the rocks!

Thanks, Kaoru!

Maybe if the lovers are careful they will miss the rocks. If their love is strong their love will survive the turmoil of lifes bumpy highway.

Ed

Navigating the rocks takes commitment and a sensitive watch.  I hope all is well!

This poem started while I was reading Kaoru's "A Moment Of Silence"....something about that poem brought me both the waterfall, and the rocks.

If only love CAME with a hardhat, m'friend.

You gotta watch the rocks, but when you come to them, work together and work it out and go right through them with ease.

Yup..sometimes the waterfall can be bumpy..
that's when you hope the barrel you're in is strong enough.
Loved this one Ed!

Wonderful metaphor, Ed. So few words, yet what a striking visual. Excellent!

I've always had a love for waterfalls... but just to watch... haven't ever had to consider the rocks except for their slipperiness as I stepped over them trying to get closer. *S*

This  magnificent metaphor makes me think of Bridalveil Falls... with all the rainbows... and so much more. *S* Excellent write, my friend... I hope all is well.

But sometimes, Ed, the rocks do make
the relationship stronger.....
sometimes, they crumble it.....
but always, they effect it.
