In Love

I closed my eyes and saw the truth
a less than 20, Mark.
I saw myself reflecting me
a speck of light in dark.

I love myself, decided
to pencil in the dates,
no indecisive minds to change,
excuses none in wait.

On Mondays I shall Poem Read
the bookstore's offering.
On Tuesdays dining out with friends,
a step put in my spring.
On Wednesdays, I will seafood catch
the steamed taste mine in need.
On Thursdays, I shall movie watch
in bed, in comfort feed.
On Fridays I shall dance the night
the many clubs to choose.
And when the weekend comes around
there'll be no time to lose.

I'll write my heart in words of love
the kind that never strays.
You see, I am in love with me
my hazel eyes ablaze.
My words, those less than 20
come so easily in thought
for I have traveled long and hard
this level to be brought:

A heart in heart
in me will find.
With gift of self
I am aligned.

Thank you Midnightsun...it took me long to realize that really, I don't need anyone but myself to make me happy. I just need to remind myself of that once in awhile.

MARK, actually it was you who made me dig deeper into my soul and realize that I know how to make myself happy. Your words though often brief, always touch a chord in me so it is I who am thanking you.
And if I must pamper myself..I have the means and ability to do so. If you keep on posting, I shall keep reading, for your influence is greatly appreciated.

gem...I have always been inspired from day one on here

I woke up this morning with no burden weighing me down, no loneliness holding me back, no emptiness feeding on me ...first time in ages.

And when I see myself as only my eyes do, I like what I see and as I improve on myself I will like me even more...
I am glad you shared a smile with me this morning.

you hold onto it. I know the love is inside you too, and really that is all that matters.

I can always find company, if feeling a bit lonely, to share time with. I am easy to get along with and very accepting of people I run across and make new friends easily.

I just have to force myself to get off this chair some days, like I did today.

S Arthur Grey, I am confident that I have enough love inside me for two people and am going to start sharing it with myself from now on.
