The deepest of all ugliness lingers within Pressed tight against my bones and skin It rips apart the flesh upon it Like the moral decay that I may die within The evil of beauty tempts my eyes and hands To wretch away all that is worth loving and adore So the angels, too, can walk within my disaster And watch me bleed all that is worth loving and adore Pain! But what is it The liquid residue from your eyes The red tears that you bleed Or the banshee cries and woes less seething Nay, it is you and I All of our reflections upon the mirror And the feelings that are never there It is the you and I that were never, lest forever, there Love is only an excuse to hurt and to get hurt... Knowledge brings ye fear. |

Very powerful piece, laden with meaning and symbolism that goes beyond its deceptively simple form. Superb. |

Thank you, Night. I wasn't quite sure about this one, but now I am. Thanks. |
