You walked into the showcase
in your new black label suit,
$2000.00 worth of Lauren
I could crumple in a ball,
simple pearls and diamonds
your own blended oil scent
edgy Gucci try-to-do-me heels
gave you just the height to use,
all night long;
you pulled at heartstrings
your targets didn't even know
were so exposed,
would never think
were within your reach,
and there for you to pull;
your laughter
like the song bird sings
to bring the men like leaves,
tumbling behind you in a swirl,
shopping always shopping
draw them in
sort them out
and swat the culls away;
the castoffs always look
like they don't know what just went on,
bewildered and defeated
they didn't even get to play.
You are the perfect female
predator today,
the center of your world.

I have never known a woman like this...although I'm sure they exist.  Seems selfish, but wondering if all that glitz could be a disguise for a scared little girl.  You painted her very real.

So when did you first meet my ex-wife?????

Again, your painting is exact. I find myself humming "Always a Woman" to this one. Excellent  work, sir....

Do those kind of heels sell at Walmart?

Great write.

This is an excellent write, as usual - I'm with Martie on the reality of this one though,

The facade is an interesting one - yet the woman you describe rarely maintains a loving relationship.  She usually knows only how to paint an inviting picture - Perhaps that's why she's constantly moving on...

Icy~

This women, or picture of, goes to the extreme and I am sure there are some like her...

But let me admit, I have purposely dressed and/or acted in a certain way to get the attention of ALL men in the room...when it works it is the best ego booster in the world...and sometimes I needed it...

I feel better now...lol

Iceman, this type woman doesn't care about
anyone but herself. And, she knows exactly
what she's doing at all times....and doesn't care.
This type person is so sad to me.
Hugs to you, Sir Poet

I know some of these creatures... and while it seems harsh, I don't even care what made them this way... they leave too much misery in their wake. Excellent depiction!

Wow, do I ever know that one! Know her wearing three or four different faces, in fact, and one of her incarnations is even a passable poet, among other more obvious talents.....

If I may be so crass as to say so, you really nailed her with this (though not, I suspect, with anything else).....

Sigh. I want to BE that woman! I do! But I'm the dumpy little lady in the corner that all the losers come and pour their hearts out to. Sigh again.
