“FOR THE NIGHT”’
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
In a sultry evening I reach
out for you, to awaken
senses hidden for an eternity,
of desires ready to unleash,
and your whispers become
my thoughts…
Vague dreams become real with
a quickening breath,
barriers leave, moonbeams
touch silk, as the shadows
open with you…
A misty morning awakes
with ecstasy’s
fullness, as a sigh melts
the darkness bringing
the dawn, and with
it a warming released,
for the night has not slept…
So romantic, the longing in the night...and the last line caught me in a smile...
Lest us not forget the consequence of staying up all night.
I think the punishment should fit the crime!
Bill...Gorgeous poem of Moonlit temptations and thought's seduction. Love the way you weave so much yearning into each line. ***Ivy Rose
(smiles) Yay! Oh Bill, I just love how you let the door, open just a crack, seep the light to her heart, sweet friend, that should be the real way to love, as I find that symbolic of true faithfulness! (big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I miss talking to you so much, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Noah Eaton
