Cornucopia of Beauty

You live miles away from the over crowded city
with its honking automobiles
and screaming people.
Pavement hot and steaming
with dust and dirt flying
into the hot summer air.
You live in a little town
near crystal clear blue green waters
where the sandy beach is a pristine snowy white.
Little cottages that are the color of the sun, golden, sparkling as if they were brand new.
Moving down the road, a short distance,
are more
little cottages that are the color of white
looking as crisp and clean as
a fresh fallen snow.
As you draw near, after a hard day of work,
the air becomes
cool and refreshing
a slight breeze tickling your warm skin.
The tension of the day begins to fade away
and once again you’re entering
a cornucopia of beauty filled
with soothing reflective relaxation.
Your senses are sent reeling into
a sensual pleasure of unexpected delights.
Floral bouquets of lavender,
rose and the delicate aroma
of
gardenia reach out
and touch your delicate nostrils sending
a smile to your sensuous lips.
This restful place
where your heart always returns is home.
A place of peace, love and happiness.
This is your small corner of the universe
This is your cornucopia of beauty.
