The green of rebirth
has died
replaced with brown's
sigh

The flowers bloom
has closed
and tomorrow's
hue is gold

Summer passes to
fall
and earth winds
call

For a time of rest
and whispered
beginnings next
test

thoughts of Fall...it's funny, but I was just standing outside thinking of how there is a different feel in the air now, and it seems to have happened overnight.  Much enjoyed this challenge...~S~

There are times, I admit, that I miss the more significant changes of the season of home..Florida just doesn't do it justice.

Thank you for reading!

Not YET!!!  PuhleeeZZZZEEEEEE!

It's been in the sixties and raining here all weekend... arrghh.. add that to the fogs that started rolling in in July and you got -- yikes -- a very nasty winter coming!

I got a change of season for you right here...!!

But I know what you mean Susan -- when I was down Hattiesburg way there wasn't much change either.. just doesn't feel right for it to be 70 degrees and sunny for Christmas does it?

Nice pome though -- I'm going to have to catch up on your chapter's here soon!

Thank you Susan for doing the challenge, and you done it well ladybug!  This was beautiful.  I love fall too!

I agree with Sunnyone about the air changing over night!  Come on winter I say, I'm here in SC and it's hot as heck, and the humidity is thick as mollases!

Great write, and much enjoyed!

...hey Reb...send some of that cold stuff thissa way!

Reb~I grew up in N. Indiana so I know what you mean. But I have been in Florida for 9 yrs and I do miss fall up North.  Tell ya what..you come down here for the winter, and I will come up there for the fall!  It's a plan! (I don't eat much!)

Tima~Thank you.  I hadn't planned on doing this challenge as I don't do anything that doesn't involve human suffering well...lol..but it just came out.

Dan~Thank you!  How is the weather in Ga??

Crystal~ You always say the sweetest things..Thank you for reading!

Rain is good.. I always thought the upper 30's was short weather.

Great poem, Susan,
well met!

I love Autumn; it is almost orgasmic in the riot of colors and the unapologetic edge to the wind.
