first one

Like the child's eyes sparkle
the stars twinkle
High in the night sky

second one

Playful sounds calling
i find myself answering
like a child, playing

Meesh

Nce senryus, kaleanna!

Senryus have many themes, haikus traditionally have a nature theme.
Both tend to go in 5-7-5 format, though I've seen them in other syllable formats.

I really enjoy this short poetic form, and am happy to read so many others attempting this style.

haiku is 5 7 5  syllables and pertains to something of nature.

example of haiku

fresh and beautiful
are wildflowers however
they are seasonal

senryu is 5 7 5 and can relate to any subject as your # 2 is very good,,,
