You came into my life, bringing calm to my waters, lifting the heaviness from my soul. You brought peace to a mind troubled, you gave warmth to a chilling breeze. You let me feel as though I had known you through the ancient ages of history. Through the cosmos to the ends of the universe and beyond. You held me, gently and whispered softly how you loved me..You made me feel whole, feel alive.. I stand before my mirror of reflect, counting the scars of love’s battles. You stood beside me, unblemished, pure, pristine....perfectly poised. I reach out, my hand touched your own, there in that mirror of yesterday. When times were timeless, when words carried the meaning, the sensual feel of two hearts beating as one. Alone before that mirror, the rivulets of water flowing downward, now intermingled with those of my eyes, as a heart cries for yesterday, while tomorrow’s sight waits to see if you are there....once more. |

A powerful reflection that draws the eyes to yesteryear and leaves the heart surrounded by a soft glow...I went on this trip you take us with your words and felt deeply of my yearning....Stunning vision.... |

Are you okay? I hope this isn't from personal experience. Hugs to you, sweet poet Ethel |

Ethel, dear lady, I am okay.....Just part of my poetry, projection of an actor's words....though sometimes intermingled with feelings that have been felt in another time or place....... Thanx to you and to all who read and reply to my words......... Barry |

Inspired to write the reply to this aching piece...I bet you already know the story line... The emotion in your poetry is unmatched...and as you know...good friends always stand by with ample supply of accolades, tissues, cards, hugs and water balloons. TD |
