What wind blows my sleep away, What stirring Of heat from lingering day, Without lotus or lilacs Sweet smelling, But sweat the senses attacks That moistens thin cotton sheets And pooling So in my own lake I sleep, I go to the window’s weak wind For cooling And watch day’s twilight begin; Sunlight burns the sleep away. Aye, Professor...some days so little wind, and on others...more of a tease...but the fall is ready and on the eve of presentation, and soon your streets will be cool again... and thank you for the lovely comment. |
