When I awoke this morning Their were teardrops on my bed. My eyes were sore and swollen, And this is what I said… “How long, until you come and see me? And how long, until I can hold your hand? How long, until I feel your arms around me? I am aching, and I want to die… How long?" My heart's been beating slower Since the day I left your view, Because you’re the one I trusted. I found happiness with you. I know this is like dying… I’m not fighting to remain. Blood’s draining from my heart And love out of my veins. While I face the death before me, I am crying out to you… “How long, until you come and see me? And how long, until I can hold your hand? How long, until I feel your arms around me? I am aching, and I want to die… How long?" I’ve lost my laugh and smile, The world has turned to grey. I need to know you want me, I crave to hear you say… “How long, until you come and see me? And how long, until I can hold your hand? How long, until I feel your arms around me? I am aching, and I want to die… How long?” - And so it was that time stood still - |
