“IN HEARTBREAK'S ETERNITY”
by

~~~~
In heartbreak's eternity I still know your smile,
eyes that pierced into me in nights of dark,
fingers that touched every way and which,
into times space you have left your mark…
When cherry blossoms turned to crimson,
and the trees sighed when their flowers fell,
their bareness would sigh and weep in turn,
as I wait and dream of you in heaven and hell…
I lie into the dim of ghostly chill and depth,
this pillow of cold as you were once of warm,
my eyes close in shadows darkness of thought,
to reach out in emptiness of a lovers storm…
In heartbreak's eternity I still know your smile,
eyes that pierced into me in nights of dark,
fingers that touched every way and which,
into times space you have left your mark…
Some things we just never seem to be able
to fully put aside, as a chapter over and
done with.  Nice writing, Bill.  Thanks.
So sad, but maybe there are some things in life we aren't supposed to forget. I think if we could we would. I don't think it's supposed to leave us. Maybe we are supposed to cherish the bad as well as the good, and learn there was something good in all things.
Just my thinking?
Hi Bill,
I read this stanza and thought about something someone said to me long ago...which sort of proves his point. He said "we are a part of everyone we have ever known."  I was about 15 or 16 years old and this has stuck with me lo these many years.  Now some will leave deeper marks than others, but nonetheless everyone impacts us.  Your words, my friend, impact me in such a lovely way...more deeply than you will ever know!
OK...now I have misty eyes.  So, I will say good bye for now.
BC, sometimes it's so darn hard to move on. A sad but wonderfully written piece.
in the heartbreak.
