I wonder where you are tonight? And do you think of me? The years have taken quite a toll, That much is plain to see. But I just had to rodeo- I had to try my hand. I thought I'd be a champion, I hope you understand. But buckles, bucks, and Vegas- Somehow eluded me. I used up all your patience, Dead set on being free. That night in Amarillo- You said, "I've had enough!" The fact that I was winning, Helped it not to be so rough. But winning rides grew fewer- And way too far between. And in my lucid moments, I really missed my Queen. Then I awoke one morning, Just glad to be alive, And sadly faced the music, Why, man, I'm forty-five! So I hung up my riggin' And put away my spurs. I took time out for my fun, Now she's out having hers. A man can't live on yesterdays- At least that's what I'm told, Or buckles, bucks, and Vegas- And a shot to win the "gold". But you have to try, though, just to see if you have that one chance to win!! I'm a rodeo fan, and know about the lifestyle, so I really enjoyed this one from you...~S~ Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart ~~S~~ |

You can't change the past, GS... But you surely can learn for those future days... |
