Picture by Josephine Wall * * * There's something I've been missing For the past month or so The words that once came easily Have simply refused to flow I can't explain why this has happened But I don't care for it at all My muse has up and left me And no longer do I walk tall It's so hard to explain How it is I really feel But a part of me is missing And my life seems so surreal So I'll sit here waiting patiently And hope my muse will soon return Bringing back my love of writing A vice that I so dearly yearn I am in motion |

.... That's GOOD! If this is you writing without your muse, I hope she comes back soon, because you must be a force to be reckoned with! I know how you feel, though. Hope you manage to keep writing and be happy with what you write.... and soon! Kielo |

Suetang - it'll come back, just sit and close your eyes, dream of things good, and it will come... BC |

I know exactly how you feel as I too have lost my muse. I'm sorry for your loss but I must say that it has inspired a beautiful piece. Well done. |

Sue, even though this is a beautiful poem to us, I know how you feel. Sometimes it's more of an effort to write than others, isn't it? Hugs Ethel |

Sue: I know what you mean, I haven't even been "able" to write in my journal, that's really bad! Maybe we're resting before we blossom again, you got a good start with this write. Best wishes...I'll be watching for you! ~K~ |

I find that the quickest way out of this is to pick up a volume of poetry and start reading. Preferably some poet you are not familiar with, or at least something you have not read before. Raw experience may be better, but this is a really good substitute. I say, read read read. Or at least that's how I rationalize buying books by the boxfull. |

Hi Sue, this seemed like a very good write to me. I think your muse is just teasing you into thinking she's gone astray. Hang in there my friend. Hugs, Marti |

Sue: There is nothing missing from your poem! I guess we all have times we don't feel terribly inspired, but you are doing fine! Betty Lou Hebert |

I think there is a secret vacation Island for muses, because mine leaves quite frequently these days. ...However, this write lacked nothing, so catch that muse and hang on tight... Tima |
