Beech leaves Cinnamon brown and clinging, Dervish-dance in winter wind. * The fast breeze moves Their death to life, In crepe-paper dry animation. * They haven't heard it's past the fall And all green life was left behind, When summer was in waning. * Leaves (near froze) by tempest, bend Crinkled flags of brown and gray Flutter-whirling, side to side, * Like lifeless, wrinkled marionettes Worked by stringless, hidden ties Of winters puppeteer wind. |

WOW!!!! Now this one is going into my library here. It's still supposedly summer in the UK, but the leaves are falling, and this poem makes me realize that a new season is just around the corner. Loved this...~S~ Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart ~~S~~ |
