From the deep recesses of my soul There is a voice that is not told For it lurks there waiting in the night Waiting for the chance to take it's flight The darkness that surrounds me Like a prison that won't set me free My dreams become filled with pain My pillow with tears is now fully stained As dawn approaches something says no And of this darkness I just let go Waking in a ragged breath Thankful that there is no death In the morning I realize this One more time death has missed And so each night, I will forever fight For I know I'm not ready to take that flight Crystal |
