City of the silent sea quiet against urban background, a million processed forests and a maze of independent lives feeling their way blindly along the street into an imaginary wind. Metallic skies frowning down on you, cloudy port of disorganised activity, pink and blue containers in a row, colours clashing, with the drifting rusty boats. One fence for every direction, and from the south blows the wind, caressing your elongated backbone, a spine of coastline rich with rocks green with the aged marks of sea's saliva. The wind breathes the whispered secrets of centuries, preserved in the collapsing buildings of marble and oak. And as I walk alone, I feel your history within the walls and through your maze of tiny streets Bells ring through the evening mist your inhabitants, singing, monotones in their clock houses, washing displayed from every window, like flags marking a deserted port.
