Our Secret Place

I took a ride back into history today
driving on the many roads we once
took Sunday drives on ~ i see many
changes along my travels

as i cross the old wooden bridge oh
yes it's still here my memories take
me back to a winding ~ lane that we
used to go and watch the rushing
waters of the stream pass by

oh yeah my thoughts are clearing in
my mind now as i see the big old tree
with it's span across the stream then
my heart started racing as i rushed
to see ~

I circle the tree looking for the heart and
our initials that I carved were still visible
then very faintly i can see them after i rub
off the moss that had grown over

like i told you when i carved this heart
and our initials on the north side they
would always be there and secretly
hidden from all by the moss that hides
our secret place
