In my white padded world of
informational illusions,
I look for escape or even
a manifestation of reprieval.

Past the guards with corkscrews,
nurses with pasta and skillets,
I beguile my way to fresh air,
and unrestricted strings.

A sort of bemusement sets upon me,
Instead of fresh air, I'm surrounded
by a psuedo up scale bistro.
And am beckoned back to work.

Everyday I do this with a start,
but seemingly no end,
trapped in "employment at will"

I'm glad to hear positive responses. I don't feel that is all that well written, but I feel so trapped at work that it drives me luny. This poem is based on a dream that I had. That speaks for itself.
Thanks everyone!
