Footprints

Along the water's edge
Footprints in the sand
Some not yet smudged
Leave a trail.

Two sets of tracks
Side by side dodging flotsom
And every now and then
They stop and face each other.

Toes and heels in the sand
From one person
Just toe prints
Left by the other.

Ah dear Scorpio..to walk the shoreline with the one you love..
what a beautiful way to spend a summer's eve.
Love the ending..I can picture her on her toes
kissing the love of her life.
